Under the above circumstances, we earnestly hope that the good offices of Her Majesty's Government, so beneficently exercised through its Representative at Tangiers, may be continued for the protection of the Jewish Community.
We trust that the inquiries now pending may result in the award of adequate compensation to Tourgeman for the outrage of which he has been the victim, and that measures may be adopted to prevent further to calm the mind of the Jewish Community, which has so seriously alarmed by the incidents of the last few weeks.
