This Society has been established to take over and conduct the business of the "County of Hants Freehold Land Society," successfully carried on for the past 40 years, and also to enlarge the scope and power exercised by that undertaking.
Shares, £50 each- Subscriptions, 1/- per week, payable Fortnightly. The Shares are of two classes, viz.: A, transferable only; b. withdrawable only. The Society purchases large parcels of land, and distributes the same, either by Ballot or Sale, in plots at WHOLESALE PRICES, payable on the most easy terms, among working men and others desirous of obtaining Allotments for Building Purposes.
Payments in advance of the ordinary instalments may be made if the Purchaser so desires, or the whole of the purchase money can be paid down, the title deeds being then handed over to the Purchaser.
Purchasers wishing to pay for their land by fortnightly instalments will have to execute a mortgage to the Society, which will be prepared by the Solicitor to the society at a small cost. The balance may be paid off at any time without notice, when the borrower will be handed his title deeds, It is not in any way conpul-sory to build on the land.
