ADVANCES.—This Society makes Advances to any amount upon security of Freehold, Copyhold, or Leasehold Estate, by way of Mortgage, for any term--from three to twenty-five years, repayable on easy terms by Monthly or Quarterly Instalments covering principal and interest; occupiers of houses are by this means enabled at a stated period to become owners by paying but little more than the annual rent. Borrowing Members share in the profits of the Society; for instance, an advance of £400 in April, 1872, for ten years, at the end of 1881, was entitled to a bonus of £48 2s. 2d.
