12.—In sending newspapers by post write the addresses on the margins of the newspapers, particularly on those directed to be sent abroad.
13.—Persons living at a distance from Post Towns, and expecting or requesting Post Office money orders from correspondents, should advise the latter as to the name of the Post Town at which they wish to receive the amount of the order; or, if they live in London, they should be particular in advising as to the name of the branch office at which they desire the order should be made payable.
14.—Before applying for a Post Office order, it would be advisable to present the Postmaster with a written memorandum mentioning the name of the person to whom the order is to be made payable, the name of the town at which it is to be paid, together with the christian and surname, address, and occupation of the sender.
15.—In directing letters at Southampton for the following places in the neighbourhood of London: viz., Acton, Brentford, Brompton (Middlesex), Bushy Park, Chelsea (except Sloane-street, Sloane-terrace, and Cadogan-place), Chiswick, Ham, Hammersmith, Hampton, Hampton Court, Hampton Wick, Isleworth, Kew, Kensington, Petersham, Richmond, Shepherd's Bush, Sunbury, Teddington, Twickenham, and Turnham Green, as well as the Barracks, Halfway, Kent, and Kingston Houses, South Place, and Serpentine and Trevor-terraces in Knightsbridge, the word London should not be placed on the address.
16.—If the Post Town to which a letter is directed be Aldborough, Bampton, Bradford, Burnham, Caistor, Newport, Richmond, St. Helen's, St. Ive's, Stoke, Stratton, Stroud, Wellington, Wells, Whitchurch, Yarmouth, the name of the county in which such town is situated should invariably be added.
