Letter from John Ponsonby, first Viscount Ponsonby, [British ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary at Constantinople], to Henry John Temple, third Viscount Palmerston: Ponsonby writes regarding Mr Blunt, who wishes to be relieved of his post in Salonika as his health is suffering in the climate there. 17 Sep 1840 The letter is marked “Private”.
