Letter from John Ponsonby, second Baron Ponsonby, first Viscount Ponsonby, [British ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary at Constantinople], to Henry John Temple, third Viscount Palmerston: he presumes Palmerston knows the French are keeping seven sail of the line at Smyrna: "very large ships".
