Letter from John Ponsonby, second Baron Ponsonby, later first Viscount Ponsonby, [British ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary at Constantinople], to Henry John Temple, third Viscount Palmerston: he forgot to mention in his other letter the report that Wallachia and Moldavia have ceded to Russia. He has, however, no reason to believe it is true at the moment. 26 Aug 1833 The letter arrived on 15 September 1833.
