Letter from John Ponsonby, second Baron Ponsonby, London, to Henry John Temple, third Viscount Palmerston: he has received the communication Palmerston directed Colonel Walpole to make to him. He asks Palmerston to convey to the King his humble acknowledgements for the great favour the King is granting him. "The sole object of my ambition is to be enabled to prove my devotion to His Majesty's royal person and my zeal for His Majesty's service." 17 Jun 1831
