Letter from William Lamb, second Viscount Melbourne, Windsor Castle, to Henry John Temple, third Viscount Palmerston: thinks it would be good to assist Lord Bolingbroke’s son but suggests that Palmerston make his own enquires about the young man first. When the ordinances first arrived, Melbourne wrote a private letter approving their general spirit but saving that there would be difficulty respecting the part which relates to Bermuda. 29 Oct 1838
