Letter from William Lamb, second Viscount Melbourne, Downing Street, to Henry John Temple, third Viscount Palmerston: a visit from Pozzo di Borgo: he has not received an answer to his communication respecting Mehemet Ali and is concerned a about a Polish friend in Constantinople, being expelled by the Russian minister. Pozzo di Borgo was not pleased with what had passed with respect to Mehemet Ali: he said he should not act with Bulow and Esterhazy on Belgian affairs. Melbourne asks Palmerston to write to Pozzo di Borgo without delay. 17 Aug 1838
