Letter from William Lamb, second Viscount Melbourne, Whitehall, [London], to Henry John Temple, third Viscount Palmerston: the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Tuam has just died. The nomination of a successor rests immediately and absolutely with the Pope. An apprehension in Ireland that he may nominate Dr. MacHale.
