Letter from William Lamb, second Viscount Melbourne, South Street, to Henry John Temple, third Viscount Palmerston: he agrees with Palmerston about the speech of the King of the French. Thinks the [?Bills] affair is really a great event and shows that the Spanish army only remains to be well and truly led. Melbourne is unwilling to be too sanguine as t its having a decisive effect upon the war in the north of Spain. Vaughan and Constantinople. 4 Jan 1836
