Letter from William Lamb, second Viscount Melbourne, to Henry John Temple, third Viscount Palmerston: Melbourne fears complete estrangement between Britain and France. Many English newspapers do Louis Philippe a great deal of harm: it is probably that he is taking a decided dislike to everything that bears the name “Liberal”. 12 Sep 1836
