Letter from William Lamb, second Viscount Melbourne, to Henry John Temple, third Viscount Palmerston: the account of Spain is bad: anarchy and military rule have never lasted long in other countries but [?] knows what may happen in Spain. He hopes “these two fellows” have not been sent into the Causcasus by Ponsonby or Urqhart. A letter from the Duke of Cleveland making a strong application for the employment of Lord [?] with the declaration that he has become “a pure Whig”. 30 Aug 1836
