Letter from Sir George Cornewall Lewis, [second Baronet, Chancellor of the Exchequer], Downing Street, [Whitehall, London], to Henry John Temple, third Viscount Palmerston: Lewis requests that Palmerston forward a copy of a Treasury minute [not present] to the Queen. He asks Palmerston take the Queen's pleasure on whether a similar minute should be passed with respect to the increase in income tax made in the current session of Parliament. 14 Jul [1855]
