Content:
Letter from Sir Stratford Canning, [Member of Parliament for King's Lynn], House of Commons, to Henry John Temple, third Viscount Palmerston: in case Palmerston has not read it in the papers, Canning apprizes him of his intention to ask a question the following day about papers relating to the `Vixen'. Canning had expected to see Palmerston in the House that evening and the previous day, especially in view of their previous discourse. Canning does not wish Palmerston to change any arrangement to enable him to attend. But he does need a few other papers on top of those he has previously mentioned. 15 Jun 1838 PP/GC/CA/151 and PP/GC/CA/153 also refer to this topic.
