a future time to further the objects of the Anglo-Jewish Association.
The Brighton Branch held its annual meeting at the Synagogue Chambers on the 17th December. The parent body was represented at that meeting by Baron Henry de Worms, M.P., Baron de Worms, the Rev. A. Lowy, and Mr. A. Gr. Henri ques.
The annual meeting of the Birmingham Branch was hold on the 21st of January, and was addressed by Messrs. E. H. d'Avigdor, Edward J. Emanuel, and B. Ivisch, (who attended as a deputation from the Council), and by several representatives of the Branch. Mr. Selim Samuel (formerly Hon. Secretary of the Coventry Branch, where he received the thanks of the Council for his zealous and useful services), having taken up his residence at Birmingham, was elected to hold the like honorary office in this Branch.
The Manchester Branch held its annual meeting on the 8th of April, and was addressed by Messrs. E. H. d'Avigdor and F. D. Mocatta, who haThe addresses delivered at these several meetings were highly appreciated by the respective assemblies, and the members of the various deputations received votes of cordial thanks at subsequent meetings of the Council.
The following tables present a synoptical view of the numerical and financial status of the several Branches whose contributions had been received before this Report was sent to press : —-
