XIII.—GRANTS TO PUBLICATIONS.
Jewish periodical publications, as the readiest means for the propagation of general knowledge, have received during the past year subscriptions to the amount of £31 17s. Od. Amongst journals thus aided are included those appearing in Constantinople, Jerusalem, Salonica, and Smyrna.
A grant of £10 has been made to the u Soci(jte L'Avenir," in Salonica, which has published under the title of " Eecontos Morales " a book of moral tales, together with outlines of the principles of Judaism, for the benefit of Jewish parents and their children.
