one who had farmed the revenues of that district, and we asked the assistance of Messrs. Perry, Bury & Co., of Liverpool; one of the partners in that firm being British Vice-Consul there. We are glad to report that these gentlemen at once promised to exert their influence in any manner that might favourably affect our co-religionists.
We have every reason to believe that the Anglo-Jewish Association has now become a permanent institution in our community.
