to Shirley ; there take another for Portswood, and from Ports-wood return to the Terminus whence he started. The fares are :—From the Docks Station to Waterloo-road or Bevois Hill, 2d., or from the top of the town to Shirley or Portswood, 2d.: the whole distance, 3d.
OMNIBUSES leave the Bar Gate for Eling, Totton, Romsey, Westend, and Bitterne, and also meet the trains for conveyance to any part of the town.
POST OFFICE.—'The General Post Office, Money Order Office, Foste Bestante, and Postal Saving's Bank is situated in the lower part of the High-street, opposite the Municipal offices, and there are branch offices and pillar boxes in all parts of the town. London letters may be posted at the General Office till 10.30 p.m., and at the Oxford-street branch till 11 p.m. Stamps and Postal Orders can be obtained till 10 p.m. Post Office Orders till 6 p.m. For further particulars, see Paul & Sons' Time Tables.
TELEGRAPH OFFICE.—The Head Telegraph Office is in Oxford-street, opposite the Terminus, from which messages can. be sent at all hours of the day and night. Most of the branch Post Offices are also Telegraph Offices.
