The object of this Association is to improve the standard of Female Education amongst all classes of society in the County of Hants.
The lamentably defective nature of Female Education in the middle and uppei classes throughout England generally is incontrovertibly demonstrated in the recent "Report of the Schools' Inquiry Commission. Whilst great efforts have been made ol late years to improve boys' schools in all parts of the kingdom, and whilst in most large towns a boy may obtain in the grammar or other public school of the locality, a
