The tojr illustration shows members of the County Bowling Club, Southampton, watching the play in the final for the 14 Barros " Cup, which is competed for annually on Brazilian Independence Day. Reading from the left are: Mr. J. Brierley, Mr: L. Button. J.P.. Alderman W. j. Miller, and Councillor S. J. Line, (a) Senor dc VasConcellos, the Brazilian Consul, who entertained the members and their friends. Senora de Vasconcellos is seated the second from the left" Insets (single) : S. Gifford, the green keeper; (double) Mr. R. Walker (the winner of the Cup) and Mr. W. Bulpitt (hon. secretary of the Club).

The above photo of tho Commilife of St. Denv's Horticultural Association was taken on the occasion of the annual show, which was held at the Highficld Institute on Wednesday last. The Hon.vSecrctajv (Mr. Smith) is in the centre of the group.
The first outing of the above club has just been held. The party (whose photos appear above) went by Brake to Rufus' Stone, and from thence to Cadnam. A very enjoyable afternoon was spent. Mr. J. Cameron, the captain of the club, made the arrangements.
