REDBRIDGE (see also Millbrook) is a
village in the parish of Millbrook with a railway station,. 4 miles west from Southampton. 6 south-east from Romsey and 83* from London; it. is pleasantly situated on the river Test, near its confluence with the Southampton Water, and is in the Winchester parliamentary division of the county of Hants, Southampton county court district and Eastleigh petty sessional division. The Venerable Bede mentions a
monastery here, of which no traces remain. There is no church here; the nearest church is at Millbrook. , Gas. and electricity are available. Water is supplied by the Southampton Corporation.
