x.—This Bank was established in the year 1816, and is consequently now in its Sixtieth year—and has no connection with any other bank. Ine rules (printed copies of which can be obtained on application) are in accordance with the Act of Parliament of 1863, and are certified by J. Tidd Pratt, Esq.
2.—The Bank is open from 11 till 1 o'clock on Monday and Thursday, for receipts and payments. Depositors may receive, without notice, any sum not exceeding <£5, and after fourteen days' notice any greater sum, or the whole of their deposits with the interest then due. See Rule L£. .
3.—Deposits of One Shilliruj are received ; and when they amount to One Pound, will bear interest at the rate of 3 per cent, per annmn. One person may deposit Thirty Pounds a year, which may be paid into the Bank at once, or in such sums as may be most convenient to the Depositor. All Monies are invested in Government Security.
4.—A Married Woman may deposit, and may withdraw her deposits, unless the husband of such woman give notice in writing of his Marriage, and require payment to be paid to him only.
5.—Deposits of Children are received, which may be withdrawn on their attaining the age of seven years, or allowed to remain, with compound interest until required, thus enabling Parents and Guardians to accumulate a fund for the future provision of such children.
6.—The postings of the Ledgers, with the Managers' Cash Book, are examined daily by the Manager next in attendance. The Auditor, recommended by J. Tidd Pratt, makes yearly and half-yearly reports, in December and June; he also certifies to the correctness of an extracted list of the Depositors' Balances, and any Depositor can, ^ during the hours of business on ordinary days, examine this list as regards his own account.
