may be effected with this Corporation on the most advantageous terms, and for any Sum not exceeding Ten Thousand Pounds on one Life.
The reversionary BONUS on British participating Life Policies has amounted on an average to rather more than 2 per Cent, per Annum on the Sum assured, or 46 per Cent, on the amount of Premium paid.
Equivalent Reductions have been made in the Annual Premiums payable by those of the Assured who preferred that form of Bonus.
The position and character so long maintained by the Corporation afford a sufficient guarantee that this Bonus has been declared out of Surplus actually realized, and not by anticipating future profits, to the prejudice of persons who may be subsequently assured.
The Expenses of Management being fairly divided between the different branches of the Company's business, a small portion only is defrayed by the Life-Assurance Fund.
Survivorship and Short-Period Assurances may be effected at reduced rates.
Policies are granted for Sums payable to the assured on their attaining any specified age, or to their families in case of their previous death.
Persons, not sea-faring by occupation, are allowed to proceed, in time of peace, from one part of Europe to any other part of Europe, without extra Premium.
This Corporation, and another established at the same time, are the oldest Z*ife Offices la existence, affording the security of subscribed Capitals.
