This branch is in connection with the " Young Men's Christian Association," formed in London, and its object is the spiritual and mental improvement of young men engaged in houses of business or otherwise, by means of Meetings for Prayer, Bible Classes, and Lectures or any other plans based upon, and in accordance with, the Holy Scriptures.
Any Young Man is eligible for membership who gives decided evi-dence of conversion to God. He must be proposed and seconded by two members of the Association, at any of their meetings, and elected by the Committee after a satisfactory inquiry as to his suitability.
All persons becoming Members are expected to contribute not less than Is. 6d. per quarter towards defraying the needful expenses of th Association.
The Committee beg to invite the attention of the Young Men o Southampton to the following Meetings of the Association, held weekly, from September to April following :—
Mr. Devenish's, 4, High Street, at half past 8 o clock. ^
A Biblb Class, on Sunday afternoons, at Mr. Devenish's, 4, High tree,
at 4 o'clock, open to all Young Men.
