The following are amongst the Rules, and will show its constitution:—
Every subscriber of two guineas, or more, annually and every physician and surgeon giving his gratuitous services'to the Institution, shall be constituted a governor.
Subscribers shall be entitled to five recommendations in a year for every guinea subscribed..
A general meeting of the governors and subscribers shall be held annually, on the first Thursday in January to audit the accounts, to choose a treasurer and committee for the year, and for such other purposes as shall have been specified in a public notice.
No person while receiving parochial relief, or being a member of a benefit society, shall be admitted or retained as a patient.
No domestic servant, while in place, shall be deemed a proper object of the charity.
No patient shall be admitted, who resides beyond the boundaries of the Town wd County of the Town, unless recommended by a subscriber resident in the same parish as the patient.
A donation of ten pounds constitutes a Life Subscriber, and a donation of twenty pounds a Life Governor.
If the Incumbent of any parish, or the Minister of any chapel, shall make any collection on behalf of tne Dispensary, he shall be entitled to recommend two persons for every pound collected.
' The number of patients annually relieved is from 1200 to 1300.
