But if the same shall be placed on a barrow, then for any quantity of luggage belonging to one person and contained in any one barrow, and not exceeding the weight of ,140 lbs.
The person chargeable has the option of paying by tale or by he barrow.
The Company afford every practicable facility to merchants, ship-owners, and others having business at the dock, and with that view the directors are at all times open to communications on the subject addressed to them
through the secretary.
No holidays are kept except Sundays, Christmas-day, Good Friday, Fast-days appointed by royal proclamation, and the Queen's birth-day. Hours of business from nine to four throughout the year.
The Company's officers and persons in the employ of the Dock Company are not allowed to receive any fee or gratuity of any denomination whatever.

The lines of steam communication embraced by the Company's operations are as follows:—
India (overland route), from Southampton, 3rd of every month, at 2 p.m. Malta and Alexandria; also Naples, Leghorn, Civita Vecchia, Genoa, &c., in conjunction with the Neapolitan Company's Steamers, from Southampton, 3rd of every month, at 2 p. m.
Vigo, Oporto, Lisbon, Cadiz, and Gibraltar, from Southampton, every
Thursday, at 3 p.m.
Constantinople, calling at Gibraltar, Malta, Athens, and Smyrna, 25th of
every month.
Jerusalem, the Holy Land, Rhodes, Cyprus, &c. &c., occasional trips.
There is a steamer from Madeira in the spring of every year.
