Lot 1. A FREEHOLD DWELLING HOUSE and GARDEN, being No. 5, Anglesea Place, Southampton, in
the occupation of C. LONG, Esq. at an annual rent of £60.
Lot 2. Two LEASEHOLD DWELLING HOUSES, with three excellent Shops, having handsome plate-glass windows, being Nos. 139, 140, and 141, in the High-Street, Southampton, opposite to the Dolphin Hotel, let respectively at the Annual Rents of £75, £110, and £120, together with the Warehouse at the hack of the above Premises, and fronting ,/y towards West-Street, let at an annual rent of £40.
These Premises are held on Lease under the Corporation of Southampton, for the remainder of a term of 40 years, from the 29th of September, 1836, at an Annual Bent of £3 14s. 8d. and 6s. in lieu of Capons.
A FREEHOLD DWELLING HOUSE, No. 129, High-Street, Southampton, in the occupation of the
National Provincial Bank of England, at an annual Rent of £130, under a lease for a term of years, of which seven are unexpired.
A FREEHOLD DWELLING HOUSE, with Lawn and Kitchen Garden, and also a large and convenient BREWERY, Malt House, Cellars, Wine Vaults, Stables, and other convenient Outbuildings, and large yard, at Shu-ley, let on lease to Messrs. BARLOW and CLODE, for a term of twenty-one years, from the 21st of December, 1840, at an annual rent of £400 ; subject to the Lessees' right to purchase the fee at any time within the first ten years of the said term at £8,400, or at any time afterwards and within the first fourteen years, at £9,000. There will also be included in this Lot a Freehold Garden, on the North-West side of the Private Road leading to the Brewery, admeasuring from North-East to South-West, adjoining such Road, 122feet; at the North-East end 79 feet, and at the South-West end 82 feet, or thereabouts.
5. A FREEHOLD DWELLING HOUSE, Lawn, and Garden, at Shirley, let to Mr. John Hunt, at the yearly rent of £25, up to Midsummer next, and now occupied by Mr. CHARLES SILVESTER, to whom the Premises are let from Midsummer-day next, at the annual rent of £18.
This Lot will be sold subject to the Vendor's right to make a road of 24 feet in width, at the North-Western side thereof, to communicate with Oxford-Street, the site of which road will not be conveyed to the Purchaser.
6. A FREEHOLD DWELLING HOUSE, called " Richmond Cottage," with Garden and Lawn adjoining, situate at Shirley, and lately in the occupation of JOHN PARSONS, Esq.
7. A FREEHOLD DWELLING HOUSE, Garden, and Outbuildings, being No. 1, Richmond Place, Shirley, in the occupation of Mr. CHIPPERFIELD, Chemist, at an annual rent of £32, under a Lease granted to him for a term of 21 years from 25th March, 1846, determinable at the Lessee's option at the end of the first seven or fourteen years, on giving six months previous notice.
A FREEHOLD DWELLING HOUSE and Garden, being No. 2, Richmond Place, Shirley, in the occupation of Mr. PRIMER, as yearly tenant, at an annual rent of £26.
A FREEHOLD DWELLING HOUSE and Garden, being No. 3, Richmond Place, Shirley, in the
occupation of Mr. LAWRANCE, Boot and Shoe Maker, as yearly tenant, at an annual rent of £26.
10. A FREEHOLD DWELLING HOUSE and Garden, being No. 4, Richmond Place, Shirley, in the occupation of Mr. KING, Confectioner, as yearly tenant, at an annual rent of £26.
11. A FREEHOLD DWELLING HOUSE and Garden, being No. 5, Richmond Place, Shirley, in the occupation of Mr. HOPPER, as yearly tenant, at an annual rent of £20.
12. A FREEHOLD DWELLING HOUSE and Garden, being No. 6, Richmond Place, Shirley, unoccupied.
13. A FREEHOLD DWELLING HOUSE and Garden, in Oxford-Street, Shirley, in the occupation of Mr. BARNES, as yearly tenant, at an annual rent of £7.
14. A FREEEHOLD DWELLING HOUSE and Garden, adjoining Lot 13, in the occupation of Mr. STOCKWELL, as yearly tenant, at an annual rent of £7.
15. A Piece of FREEHOLD BUILDING LAND, at Shirley, also fronting towards the Southampton and Romsey Turnpike Road, and adjoining the Dwelling-house and Premises lately in the occupation of Mr. BARLOW, admeasuring in width, at the front or North-East end 54 feet 6 inches, and at the South-West end 53 feet 6 inches, and in depth, from front to rear, 100 feet, or thereabouts.
Lot 16. A Piece of FREEHOLD BUILDING LAND, at the lower end and on the North-West side of Oxford Street, Shirley, admeasuring from front to rear 97 feet, or thereabouts, and in width at the North-West end 33 feet, or thereabouts, and at the South-East end where the same abuts on Oxford-Street, 14 feet, or thereabouts.
This Lot will be sold subject to the continuance of the present road running through the same, until the 24th of June 1850, after which the Purchaser will be at liberty to stop such road.
Lot 17. A Piece of FREEHOLD BUILDING LAND, on the South-East side of
running torn Norm-west to soutn-uast, along the rear of the Dwelling-house and Premises of Mr. INDER, and of Lot 15, and admeasuring in width, at the front and rear, 16 feet 8 inches, or thereabouts, and in depth 101 feet, or thereabouts.
Lot 18. A Piece of FREEHOLD BUILDING LAND, adjoining to and on the South-West side of Lot 17,
and of the same admeasurements, or thereabouts.
Lot 19. Another Piece of FREEHOLD BUILDING LAND, adjoining to and on the South-West side of Lot
18, and of the same admeasurements, or thereabouts.
Lot 20. A Piece of FREEHOLD BUILDING LAND, on the South-East side of Oxford-Street, Shirley* bounded on the North-East by Premises on lease to Mrs. Targett, being Lot 26, and on the South-West, partly by Lot 21, admeasuring in front, next to the said Street, 23 feet, or thereabouts, and in depth, from front to rear, 89 feet; or thereabouts.
Tot 21. A Piece of FREEHOLD BUILDING LAND, on the South-West side of Lot 20, now used as a Yard by Mr. JOHN HUNT, and adjoining the North-East Garden Wall of Lot 5, admeasuring in front, next to the said street, 52ft. 6in. or thereabouts, and in depth, from front to rear, 45ft. or thereabouts.
Lot 22. Aii Annual GROUND RENT of £15 3s. 4d. viz. the Reversion in Fee of and in the Dwelling House and Garden at Shirley, lately in the occupation of Mr. BARLOW, and situate on the North-West side of the private road leading to the Brewery mentioned in lot 4, and demised by JOHN PARSONS, Esq. to the late RICHARD LAISHLEY, Esq. for a term of 1000 years, from the 29th of September, 1841, at an annual ground rent of £15 3s, 4d, subject W aa option given to the Lessee of purchasing the Reversion in Fee, at any time for the sum of £378 3s, 44.
